Bene centralizes media management with Heiler Software
The office design experts simplify and streamline their marketing material publishing processesWaidhofen/Austria, 04.04.2008 --- Bene, Austria's largest manufacturer of office furniture, has chosen to implement Heiler Media Manager with its end-to-end range of web-to-print functions. The platform will enhance the company's new projects database, where all future furniture design projects of the entire global Bene Group will be created. The Heiler implementation will enable centralized management and output of the relevant images, graphics, drawings, animations and films in both print and electronic format, including brochures, web presentations, reference lists, press releases and customer catalogs. Bene expects to make considerable savings in terms of the software and hardware resources that are currently used for its decentralized media maintenance processes. The solution will also save the company time and money by centralizing its currently distributed processes for managing and creating marketing material.
Bene's new projects database will provide a single point of access to all available project documents for the company's sales team, which is spread across 76 locations in 30 countries. The sales team will also be able to update the central data pool with new customer projects at any time. This means that the Bene editorial team will always have the most up-to-date project information and image files at their fingertips to help them select just the right reference objects for various sales and marketing media.
Indexing of the documents in the projects database will also mean that image files can be found at the touch of a button in Heiler Media Manager, which will interface with the database. In addition, Heiler Media Manager will be seamlessly integrated into the existing Microsoft Office environment.
Josef Schrefel, eMarketing Manager at Bene AG, explains the company's decision to implement Heiler Media Manager as follows: “We looked at solutions from a number of other providers but our final decision was swung by features like the end-to-end web-to-print functions. These will play a key role in helping us to simplify and streamline our creation of customer-specific catalogs.” Bene uses these catalogs to provide interested companies with suggestions for office furniture and equipment solutions tailored to individual requirements and to the available space.
Currently, Bene's regional offices individually produce their own customer catalogs with Adobe Acrobat solutions. The distribution of centrally managed text and image files involves considerable effort and is subject to various infrastructural prerequisites. The new central projects database, working in tandem with Heiler Media Manager, will significantly reduce this workload and the associated costs. Looking ahead, Josef Schrefel says: “We also anticipate that the distribution of data through electronic channels will become much easier to manage.”
